**Paper Flower (Bougainvillea glabra) Climber Plant**

The Paper Flower (Bougainvillea glabra) is a climbing evergreen shrub of moderate growth rate. The plant is robust, has thorny shoots, dark green, alternately ovoid leaves, and small, white flowers, but are surrounded by striking bracts of bright mauve leaves throughout the long flowering period of the plant. Paper Flower does not tolerate cold, and when planted in areas with low temperatures, but within its cultivation zone, then it sheds its leaves or sometimes the entire aboveground part disappears. However, in the spring it sprouts and grows again quickly. In addition to the classic mauve color, varieties have been created that have red, orange, yellow and white flowers.
