Pink Jasmine (Jasminum polyanthum) Climbing Plant - Vine Flowering Plants. The Pink Jasmine belongs botanically to the family of Olive (Oleaceae). It is native to various regions of China and Myanmar. It is a medium to large-sized climbing plant, which, thanks to its twining ability, can reach a height of about 8 m, supported on trees or surfaces. It is perennial and evergreen, with a fast growth rate, high crown density and a climbing habit. The leaves are opposite, odd pinnately compound, smooth-textured, lanceolate in shape with entire margins, the lamina of which is dark green in colour. The intensely fragrant flowers, borne on cyme inflorescences, are pinkish white in colour, tubular-star in shape and appear from mid-spring to early summer. The Pink Jasmine is a relatively easy plant to grow. Its growth is favoured when it is placed in sunny areas, with normal moisture levels, and fertile soils with excellent drainage. The Pink Jasmine is used as a climbing plant to create a hedge, as well as in pergolas or trellises. It is also planted as specimen, or in group plantings and compositions. Its good tolerance to salt sprays also allows it to be grown in seaside gardens.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large plants are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
