It can withstand high temperatures, frost (if necessary, it will regrowth from the root) and drought. The Passion Fruit is also used as an ornamental climber for creating a hedge, as well as in pergolas or trellises. It is also planted as specimen, or in group plantings and compositions. The fruit of the Passiflora edulis contains high amounts of vitamin A and vitamin C.
