Lemon-Scented Jasmine (Jasminum azoricum) Climbing Plant - Vine Flowering Plants. The Lemon-Scented Jasmine belongs botanically to the family of Olive (Oleaceae). It is native to various regions of the Madeira Islands. It is a medium-sized climbing plant which, thanks to its twining ability, can grow to a height of about 5 m on trees or surfaces. It is perennial and evergreen, has a fast growth rate, high crown density and a climbing habit. The leaves are opposite, compound pinnate consisting of 3 leaflets, smooth-textured, ovate in shape with entire margins, whose lamina is bright green in colour. The monoecious, fragrant flowers, borne on cyme inflorescences, are white in colour, tubular-star in shape and appear from mid-spring to mid-autumn. The Lemon-Scented Jasmine is a relatively easy plant to grow. Its growth is favoured when it is placed in sunny areas, with normal moisture levels, and fertile soils with excellent drainage. The Lemon-Scented Jasmine is used as a climbing plant to create a hedge, as well as in pergolas or trellises. It is also planted as specimen, or in group plantings and compositions. Its good tolerance to salt sprays also allows it to be grown in seaside gardens.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large plants are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
