The Boston Ivy (Parthenocissus tricuspidata ‘Veitchii’) is one of the most impressive deciduous tendril-climbing vine. It grows rapidly and covers extensive surfaces, on which it is held in place by helixes, which end in "sucker disks". Its leaves are large, compound, have three deep lobes, and their color is deep green that in autumn changes to an attractive bright red. The discreet flowering of the plant, which is observed in the summer months, attracts bees and butterflies. Flowering is followed by fruiting with green, blue or black fruits. It has no particular requirements in terms of climate, soil, and exposure, while it has extremely increased resistance to the congested atmosphere of cities. As it does not have any serious pests and diseases, the Boston Ivy is very easy to cultivate.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large shrubs are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
