Devil's Ivy or Golden Devil's Ivy (Epipremnum aureum) Vine Plant. Devil's Ivy is one of the most attractive interior decoration plants. Botanically it belongs to the Araceae family. It is native to the island of Mo'orea, in the Society Islands of French Polynesia. It is a large climber, which can reach a height of 15 m in its natural habitat, but in cultivation will rarely exceed 2 to 3 m. It is a perennial, evergreen broadleaf, which has a fast growth rate, and spreading habit. It is characterised by its ability to produce aerial roots, which gives it the opportunity to function as an epiphyte. The main ornamental feature of the plant is the leaves: large, simple, leathery, cordate or ovate shaped with entire margins, they have a bright green lamina variegated with white or yellow spots. In general, Devil's Ivy is a plant that is extremely easy to grow, has no serious problems with pests and diseases, has almost zero maintenance requirements and can be planted outdoors where climatic conditions allow. Its growth is favoured when it is placed in semi-shaded areas where it does not receive direct sunlight. It can be used both as a climbing plant and as a hanging plant. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the Devil's Ivy is one of the plants that purify the atmosphere of homes, offices or business premises from toxic substances (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene), while at the same time contributing oxygen.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, and age. Large plants are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
