Large-Leaved Linden Tree (Tilia platyphyllos) 

The Large Leaved Linden (Bigleaf Linden) is a great-looking deciduous tree. Used in parks, in squares, in hedgerows but also to shade the garden. They are long-lived, oval with rounded top and a moderate growth rate. The leaves are cordate, the bark of the trunk is grayish and flowers yellow and aromatic attract insects like bees. The Bigleaf Linden belongs in medicinal plants and so the blossom and the fruit and bark of recovered to produce therapeutic formulations (tilio).
