The Bottlebrush (Callistemon citrinus or syn. Callistemon laevis) origines from Australia where called ‘Lemon Scented Bottlebrush’. Cutting the last three words, and keeping only the Bottlebrush or 'Boukalovourtsa’ it made and continues to make great career in Greek gardens, parks, but also in pots and window boxes. For the rest, the Calliston is an evergreen shrub or a small tree that owes, not unfairly, its popularity to its abundant and large red flowers, shaped - what else? - bottlebrush. It shows, depending on climatic conditions, 2 to 3 blooms from late spring to early autumn. If planted in non-calcareous soils it lives for many years because it is relatively easy to cultivate and without any special requirements. Bottlebrush , perfectly adapted to the Mediterranean climate, is a precious bush for gardening and landscape architecture.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large shrubs are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
