Fortune's Spindle ‘Emerald Gaiety’ is a variegated and highly decorative plant. It is a evergreen shrub of small growth  with a spreading habit, while, if supported, is well and as climbing. The leaves, which are also the predominant ornamental element of the ‘Emerald Gaiety’, are round oval, green in the center and white in the periphery, and as the temperatures descend, autumn changes color, obtaining a reddish brown center with pink periphery.
