Blue Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia)

Jakaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) is one of the most impressive flowering deciduous trees. Its flowers, which appear from July to September, can have every possible shade of blue and literally flood the tree and offer the surrounding area their delicate scent. The Jacaranda tree also contributes as a fern leaf to decorate and embellish every garden or landscape. As a plant it is fast growing and extremely easy to cultivate, as long as it is planted in soil that has excellent drainage and in areas with mild winter because it can not withstand frost. In fact, it is not affected by pests or diseases, and if it is established well then it is very tolerant to drought. Blue Jakaranda is a valuable tree for gardening and landscape architecture and is therefore being exploited, especially in Mediterranean environments.
