African Lily Blue Rhizomatous (Agapanthus africanus - Blue)

The Blue African Lily is aν evergreen perennial, which belongs to the rhizomatous-tuberous plants. It has large lanceolate leaves, 40 to 70 cm long, whose top bends downward. In the summer, its numerous blue-colored flowers appear in an impressive spherical inflorescence, which is carried on a characteristic long flowering stem. Cultivation of African Lily is extremely easy as long as it is planted in areas where the temperature in winter does not fall below 0 °C. Without significantpests and diseases, it is extremely resistant to drought, aerosol salts and the polluted atmosphere. These features, along with its impressive flowering, make it suitable - in soil or in pots and containerss - for urban planting, as in coastal areas and the islands.
