The Balloon Flower (Platycodon grandiflorus) botanically belongs to the family Campanulaceae. It is a herbaceous, perennial deciduous plant, of small height and medium growth rate. The predominant decorative element of Balloon Flower are its large bell-shaped blue flowers, which appear from the beginning of Summer until the beginning of Autumn. But even during the formation phase, the flowers attract the eye of the plant lover because of their balloon-shaped shape - hence the English common name as Balloon Flower. The plant is extremely easy to grow and has very low maintenance requirements, and is used planted in gardens and pots.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large shrubs are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
