Pineapple Guava is an evergreen shrub or small tree that is used both as ornamental and fruitful. Its foliage is grayish green, with the upper surface of the round gray-green leaves and the bottom gray and fluffy. Its distinctly beautiful flowers, which appear in the summer, are white in color and are bordered by red- scarlet stamens. The fruits mature in the middle of autumn with early winter, are oval-shaped, green in color and taste sweet. Its cultivation is not a problem if it is planted in sunny places, fertile soil with good drainage and areas where winter is mild. In addition to the soil it can also be planted in large pots or window boxes.
