Fuzzy Deuzia (Deutzia scabra) Plant - Plants and Shrubs for Gardening. Fuzzy Deuzia belongs botanically to the Hydrangea family (Hydrangeaceae). They are classic ornamental, deciduous perennials used outdoors, planted in pots or directly in the garden soil. They are of medium height, moderate growth rate and oval to spherical in shape. They have opposite, lanceolate leaves with a serrated periphery, which are green in colour. Fuzzy Deuzia plants are used both in horticulture and in landscape architecture, planted alone, in groups and in compositions with other shrubs.
