The Fiery Spike (Aphelandra squarrosa) is one of the most impressive indoor plants, with large, glossy leathery leaves where the midribs and lateral nerves are adorned with white stripes, and with small yellow flowers, which, however, surround attractive and large yellow petal bracts. It is an easy-to-cultivate and maintenance flowering shrub, as long as it is planted in an excellently drained soil mixture that retains the necessary moisture, and placed in bright places but without receiving direct sunlight. The Fiery Spike can also be planted in garden soil, in areas where climatic conditions allow, individually or to create frames.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large shrubs are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
