The Common Lilac (Syringa vulgaris) is a perennial deciduous shrub of medium to large size and moderate growth rate. It has an erect appearance and relatively moderate canopy density, with ovate leaves in shape and green color, which turns yellow from about mid-autumn. In spring and until the beginning of summer - depending on the weather conditions - the extremely fragrant flowers of Common Lilac appear, lilac in the typical species, pink, purple, white, red or even bicolor in the varieties, which are carried on dense pyramidal cyme inflorescences. The Syringa vulgaris plants are relatively easy to grow and adapt to a variety of soil and climatic types - although areas with late spring frosts should be avoided, as buds are more likely to burn as well as waterlogged areas. It is recommended to prune the plant immediately after flowering, because then it forms the flowering buds of the next year.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large shrubs are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
