The Ruby Leaf Alternanthera (Alternanthera dentata) is is one of the most ornamental varieties of the plant thanks to its red-purple leaves and its most compact form. It belongs to the herbaceous perennial, is evergreen in warm areas and is used both in the garden, in pots and planters, as well as in indoor areas such as the glasshouse. In the colder areas it is planted as an annual ornamental. Its cultivation does not present difficulties since it does not face problems from pests and diseases - after care has been taken to protect it from the cold.
