The Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is an annual plant which botanically belongs to the family of Asteraceae or Composita. The Salad Bowl 972 variety is included among the traditional ones of its species. It is productive and resistant to high temperatures, which is why its harvest period extends over a period of 10 months. It forms medium-sized open, loose heads with curled curled green leaves.
