Syntilor Matt Colorless Preservative Teak Exotic Wood Oil - Wood Varnishes & Preservatives. High quality maintenance and renewal oil for Teak and other native and exotic hardwoods from Syntilor. It has a slight odor, it is hydrophobic, microporous and easy to work with, while its protective action consists in sealing and waterproofing the wood in its pore without creating a covering surface - film, which results in it not cracking. Syntilor Teak Wood Oil is used for the maintenance and renewal of constructions and objects produced from domestic and European brown and red hardwoods, as well as from exotics (olive, teak, mahogany, meradi, iroko, etc.). It is used in garden furniture, decks and wooden parts of boats, as well as in wooden structures such as pergolas, wooden pots, etc.

Necessary Preparation
New Exotic wood: Degrease with a cloth soaked in acetone.
Old raw wood, stained or greyed: clean using Syntilor's Dégriseur Bois gray wood cleaner.
Old finishes (old oils, old paints, varnishes): sand with 40, 60, then 100 sandpaper or remove old substrates with Syntilor's corrosive Décapant.
Apply, if necessary, a coat of a suitable anti-wood-eating insect wood treatment product.
Application of the Product
The product is ready for immediate use - do not dilute.
Stir well before and during use, do not dilute.
Apply a first thin coat of Oil for Teak- Teak oil Syntilor with the brush, then wipe almost immediately with a Mèche Coton pad or a clean cotton cloth (even circular
movement). Drying time: about 4 hours.
To get a nice finish, sand (light sanding, fine sandpaper) the first coat to neutralize the rough surfaces of the wood.
Apply a second coat, wiping at the same time, to get a polished smooth natural surface. The wood is thus soaked in depth, without the product remaining on the surface.
Allow to dry thoroughly for 24 hours before using the furniture. Take some basic precautions for a few days: avoid strong blows, don't get wet. Final hardening is achieved after 4-6 days, under normal conditions.
When Maintenance Must Be Performed
Once the surface of the wood begins to naturally re-open from weathering and UV radiation, clean and apply Syntilor Teak Oil directly to the re-opened areas.
In case of delayed maintenance, clean first with Syntilor's Dégriseur Bois gray wood cleaner.
