Japanese Pittosporum, so successful integrated in the Mediterranean landscape, hails from the far East with likely birthday hotbed of areas of northeastern China, Korea and Japan.
Evergreen shrub of moderate to high growth, up to the height of 3 m its growing rate is rapidly but after this height is of slow down features. Its shape is spherical in the early years and then becomes global – cone. It has glossy leathery leaves and small flowers much fragrant white or white-yellowish which comes to the edge of the shoot and cover the plant on May-June period.
