The Emerald Green Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd') is a small growth coniferous tree belonging to the Cupressaceae family. It is a variety of the Thuja occidentalis, from which it differs mainly in terms of height and decorative possibilities. It has a natural narrow pyramidal shape, upright foliage of bright green color, while it withstands any exposure conditions, except the sunless ones. It is quite an easy to grow plant, which can be planted in almost any type of soil, which retains the necessary moisture but also has excellent drainage. However, for the Greek area, it is recommended to plant it in semi-mountainous and mountainous areas as well as in parts of Northern Greece - since it faces a problem with continuous very high temperatures. For the rest, it is used in gardening as well as in landscape architecture, to create formal or informal hedges. In addition to hedging, the Emerald Green Arborvitae is also planted as an individual tree or in groups.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the conifer plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large conifer shrubs and trees are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
