Annual & Perennial Species & Varieties
EUROFLOR Rainbow Perennials 1kg Seeds Mixture for Urban Meadows - Urban Meadows Seed Mixes. It is a mixture of seeds with annual, biennial and perennial plants. The composition of the perennial seed mix is the result of ten years of research by Euroflor. The purpose of using Rainbow Perennials is to create an urban meadow with permanent characteristics, eliminating the need for annual seeding and the corresponding financial burden. The annuals it contains are included to ensure 50% flowering in the 1st year, 90 - 100 days after sowing. Once the perennials are established, the flowering period reaches or exceeds 120 days, starting in June and lasting until about mid-Autumn. In the first year, the dominant color is red, while in the following years, yellow. Rainbow Perennials seed mix has excellent drought resistance and is part of Project Pollin-8, which supports and favors the growth of insect pollinators. Sowing is done either in Spring or Autumn.
► For seeding, pre-treatment similar to that of turf installation is required, while irrigation is required during the first stages of plant's establishment
► The mixture includes the following species and varieties: Alyssum saxatile 'Compactum', Arabis alpina 'Corbeille d'argent', Arabis alpina 'Rosea Grandiflora', Bellis perennis, Calendula officinalis 'Fiesta Gitana', Cheiranthus cheiri 'Tom Thumb', Chrysanthemum maximum 'Silver Princess, Coreopsis tinctoria 'Illico', Dianthus plumarius, Escholtzia californica 'Ballerina', Gaillardia aristata 'Primavera', Hyssopus officinalis, Iberis umbellata, Linum perenne 'Blue Saphire', Linum perenne 'Nanum Album Diamond', Myosotis alpestris, Papaver rhoeas, Prunella grandiflora 'Freelander mixture', Saponaria ocymoides, Saponaria officinalis

No Genetically Modified Seeds
|
|
| In addition to pollinators, a variety of insects, small herbivores and birds will benefit from the food source and shelter provided by the foliage and cover of the flowers. So they will take advantage of the coolness of the leaves of plants that provide moisture, enjoy the shade from the sun and consume the food from the small fruits and seeds produced in the urban meadow. | Euroflor seeds are produced using traditional plant breeding methods. NO GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS (GMOs) are carried out. The (Non GMO - Non GMO) seed is produced by numerous, small-scale growers from different geographical locations with different soil types and climatic conditions, thus ensuring genetic diversity. |
