The Coral Plant (Russelia equisetiformis) botanically belongs to the family Plantaginaceae. It is a perennial, evergreen or semi-evergreen semi-woody shrub, of low height and medium growth rate. Dominant decorative elements of the Coral Plant are both its free form, with its natural arch-shaped or weeping shape and its many tubular red flowers, which appear from mid-Spring to mid-Autumn. The plant is extremely easy to grow, adapts to many different soil types, as long as they are fertile and well drained, while withstanding air pollution and frost.
