The Chinese Fringe-Bush (Loropetalum chinense var. Rubrum) is a medium-sized shrub or small tree, with nice red leaves that gradually turn green during the growing season. It has striking pink or red hues fragrant flowers that appear in abundance in spring and sporadically in summer and autumn. It grows in fertile soils, with very good drainage and in places of full sunshine or partial shade. The Chinese Fringe-Bush does not present difficulties in cultivation, and is suitable for planting in the garden, as well as in the pot or planters. It is pruned, and with a little patience it can be formed into a small tree.
