Black Tree Aeonium (Aeonium arboreum 'Atropurpureum'). This evergreen variety gives medium-sized perennial succulents, with erect or laterally branched shoots, and leaves that emerge at the top of the shoots in a rosette arrangement, having a deep red and green color in the center of the rosette, and a spatula-shaped, obovate to oblate lanceolate pointed apex and is wedge-shaped at the base. The flowers of the plant appear in summer in large, impressive conical inflorescence and are yellow in color. The Black Tree Aeonium is a very decorative and durable xerophyte plant suitable for potted, gravelly garden soil or rock garden.
