The Hoopsii Blue Spruce (Picea pungens 'Hoopsii') is an impressive evergreen coniferous tree of medium growth belonging to the Pine family (Pinaceae). The cultivar 'Hoopsii' has a naturally broad pyramidal shape, horizontal branching and dense foliage. The colour of the leaves remains attractive in all seasons, being silvery-blue. An additional ornamental feature of the tree is the upright male cones, which are purple-magenta in colour. The Hoopsii Blue Spruce seeks fully sunny locations and is a relatively easy-to-grow plant. It can be planted in almost any soil type that retains the necessary moisture but also has excellent drainage. It can be used in both gardening and landscape architecture, as a specimen, in group plantings, and in compositions with other plants.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the conifer plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large conifer shrubs and trees are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
