The Lawson Cypress 'Ellwoodii' (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ellwoodii') botanically belongs to the Cupressaceae family. It is a very ornamental evergreen conifer, small to medium height, upright in appearance and conical in shape. It has a moderate growth rate, needle-like leaves, greenish-green glaucous when young and silvery-glaucous when mature. The cultivation of the Ellwoodii variety does not present many difficulties as it is not often affected by pests and diseases.
