Cylindrical Snake Plant (Sansevieria cylindrica 'Fan'- syn. Dracaena angolensis 'Fan'). Medium-sized perennial, evergreen and rhizomatous succulent, with upright habit variegated leaves that sprout in a rosette arrangement. They are sword in shape, ending in a sharp tip and have a characteristic cylindrical cross-section, which gives the species its name. In summer, the plant's fragrant white, pinkish-white flowers emerge from a spiked raceme inflorescence. The flowers open only at night. The Cylindrical Snake Plant 'Fan' (Sansevieria cylindrica 'Fan') is a very ornamental and hardy dry plant cultivar, suitable for potting and indoor or outdoor planting. Where conditions are favourable it can be planted in the garden or rock garden, and in gravelly, sandy or slightly loamy soil.
