Annual Species & Varieties
EUROFLOR Honey 1kg Seeds Mixture for Urban Meadows - Urban Meadows Seed Mixes. The Honey mix consists of bee-loving herbaceous plants, whose flowers produce a large amount of pollen. It is intended primarily for those beekeepers, farmers and arborists who wish to keep pollinators and bees busy between crop flowering seasons. The mixture consists of 100% annual plants, which germinate, grow and cover the sowing area extremely quickly. The Honey mixture is sown in the Spring and is also part of Project Pollin-8, which supports and favors the growth of pollinators-insects.
► For seeding, pre-treatment similar to that of turf installation is required, while irrigation is required at least during the first stages of plant's establishment and periods with very high temperatures
► The mixture includes the following species and varieties: Borago officinalis, Centaurea cyanus, Clarkia pulchella, Cosmos bipinnatus 'Sensation', Cosmos sulphureus, Eschscholtzia californica, Gaillardia aristata, Godetia grandiflora, Rudbeckia gloriosa , Zinnia 'Lilliput', Zinnia 'Sunbow'
► If no seeding takes place in subsequent years, the abandoned urban meadow will have about 30% of its flowering plants in the second year and 10-15% in the third year

No Genetically Modified Seeds
|
|
| In addition to pollinators, a variety of insects, small herbivores and birds will benefit from the food source and shelter provided by the foliage and cover of the flowers. So they will take advantage of the coolness of the leaves of plants that provide moisture, enjoy the shade from the sun and consume the food from the small fruits and seeds produced in the urban meadow. | Euroflor seeds are produced using traditional plant breeding methods. NO GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS (GMOs) are carried out. The (Non GMO - Non GMO) seed is produced by numerous, small-scale growers from different geographical locations with different soil types and climatic conditions, thus ensuring genetic diversity. |
