The Arugula (Eruca sativa) is an annual plant which botanically belongs to the family of Brassicaceae. It comes from Southeast Asia, however it grows naturally in the Mediterranean region and in Greece. The leaves and stems of the plant are used in salads and cooked dishes, while the seeds are used in traditional medicine and the pharmaceutical industry.
