Egyptian Starcluster (Pentas lanceolata) Plant - Flowering Plants. The Egyptian Starcluster botanically belongs to the Bedstraw (Rubiaceae) family. It is native to the tropical regions of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It is a herbaceous, perennial and evergreen plant, with a fast growth rate, erect habit and round shape, with a dense canopy and a height of about 90 cm. The slightly aromatic leaves are dark green in colour, simple, narrowly ovate-lanceolate with entire margins. It shows abundant flowering from about mid-spring to mid-autumn. The star-shaped flowers, borne on a corymb inflorescence, are of various colours (pink, purple, white, red). The Egyptian Starcluster is a relatively easy-to-grow plant, which adapts to a variety of soil types and environments. However, it thrives in fertile and organic-rich soils, with excellent drainage, and in positions of full sun exposure. It can be used in many ways, such as as a border plant, in mass plantings and in arrangements with other plants, as well as in pots and window boxes.
► It is offered at a price determined by the particular characteristics of the plant, such as the size of the pot, its height, age and shape. Large plants are also available for sale (and planting) upon prior arrangement. In any case, the price or prices listed are indicative.
