LECHUZA Basicpon Substrate for Sensitive Plants & Cuttings - Mineral Plant Substrates. Top quality inorganic planting medium, LECHUZA Basicpon offers plants and roots with the minerals that make it up, the optimal air-water ratio, guaranteed stable pH value, while also acting as a reservoir of water, nutrients and fertilizers, which are administered to plants whenever required. Also, thanks to the excellent drainage capacity of the substrate, it does not manifest in any way waterlogged effects, thus contributing to the avoidance of suffocation of plant roots. The LECHUZA Basicpon consists of zeolite, pumice and light lava in well-thought-out proportions, so that from a structural point of view the substrate is not in danger of being compressed or producing sediments. In addition, due to its purely mineral base, the substrate does not provide "friendly" surfaces to fungi or pests of plants but also indoors to approach and survive, and therefore its use is particularly suitable in planters and pots, in environments where people with allergies live or work. In relation to meeting the nutritional needs of the plants, and depending on their type, the fertiliser is added later or supplemented separately.
