The Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) is an annual plant which botanically belongs to the family of Chenopodiaceae. The Geant d'Hiver variety is extremely productive, very resistant to cold, and sensitive to high temperatures. It yields more in fertile soils. Its leaves are large, and their color is deep green.
