Cucumber 'Telegraph' Seeds. Constantly productive variety with a large non-bitter aromatic fruit of deep green color. It is harvesting all summer, is kept for a long time in the refrigerator and also is extremely resistant to transport. Available in a 2g packet.
Telegraph cucumbers produce the largest fruit, 40-50cm in length, of all varieties that belong to the cucumber family.
The sowing of the Telegraph can be carried out in a protected area with temperatures of 24-280C. As soon as the seedlings get 4-6 sheets, they are transplanted into larger pots to avoid transplanted shocks and to create a stronger root system, and they are placed in a colder yet sheltered space to harden. When the risk of frost has passed, in the warmer and southern regions, they are planted in their final positions since the third 10 days of March and for safety reasons they are covered with a protective cloth.
For the fertilization of the crop, a fertilizer with proportions in N, P, K 1: 1: 1 is applied at least once a month, which can be replaced by a fertilizer with N, K 1: 2 proportions depending on the fruit.
Irrigation, according to the climatic conditions and the type of soil, is carried out initially on a second day and then, if the days become hot, is carried out on a daily basis. As with all cucumber varieties, Telegraph is very sensitive to salinity, so watering must be done with very good water quality.
Under Greek conditions, it is imperative in the summer to lightly shade the plants.
